Wellness-ABC

The most important terms regarding sauna and wellness.

Finnish sauna

This is the “classic” sauna, which sauna-goers will find in nearly all sauna facilities.

The temperature is generally between 80 and 95, up to even 100 °C. Such sauna is sometimes a dry and sometimes a sauna with water infusions (a löyly sauna). For example, if birch essence is exclusively used for the Infusion, then the sauna is called a “birch sauna”; if the herbs are used, it is called a herbal sauna and so on.

However, the basis of the sauna is always the dry finnish sauna.
